SOHO Fuxing Plaza is on the edge of the acclaimed Xintiandi development and central to other retail village districts including the Sinan Mansions, Bridge 8 and Tianzifang. The design offers a modern interpretation of the ShuKouMen alleys typical of traditional developments in Shanghai and other Chinese cities. This interpretation integrates the functionality of the streetscape with modern retail requirements. Key spaces were reconfigured in order to activate the landscape; creating pocket parks for office workers, gallery alleys for art exhibitions and venues for retail and entertainment programs.
