Kangju community presents a new paradigm for water sensitive community landscape development. The landscape design incorporates extensive grey water treatment capacity within a limited space and budget while simultaneously maintaining the characteristics, function and programmatic requirements of a community development. A series of carefully level calibrated swales and canals circulate water thought riparian planting, ponds and cascades that define the community program spaces and facilities. Our design uses traditional aesthetic principles in a contemporary expression to divide the long and narrow spaces into a series of human scale rooms, each with a seasonal or programmatic function.
