The northern section of Sichang Park is connected to its southern counterpart through display gardens and habitat islands, and provides another chapter of the environmental education and urban ecological park, focusing on critical urban sustainability issues of energy and recycling. Through a series of designated pods that offer content and designed education programs, the park embodies the message of preserving resources, utilizing alternative energy and emphasising the importance of recycling in the daily community life. The framework of ‘designated pods’ is driven by specific ideas of alternative energy in terms of both use and display.
